My passion is to help humans understand one another – and the world around them.
As The Washington Post’s newsroom talent and community editor, I oversee The Post’s growing live chats platform, where our journalists engage in conversation in real-time with readers. I also coach reporters and editors on reader engagement strategies to help them build their own communities.
I have more than a decade of experience helping legacy news organizations build new audiences on- and off-platform. I was a pioneer of The Post’s Snapchat channel and led editing of Instagram Stories. I built U.S. News & World Report’s first education newsletter, which continues to be a popular offering. I got my start at U.S. News reporting on education, a topic I am still very passionate about. I often speak to students at my alma mater, Towson University.
